Born in Taiwan, Ai-Wei Chang was a former member of Tulsa Symphony, and currently plays in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. She plays with the chamber music series, Scissortail Productions. She also stays active as a piano accompanist. Ai-Wei received her Doctorate in Musical Arts and her Master of Music at The University of North Texas. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Taipei Municipal Teachers College in Taiwan, majoring in violin and minoring in piano and voice.
