Christine Harada Li, Violin
Raised in Anchorage, Alaska, violinist Christine Harada Li has had a versatile career as a performer, educator, and arts leader. As a performer, she has appeared in concerts from North America, Europe to Asia. Recently she was a featured soloist with the Tlaquepaque Philharmonic (Mexico), Marquette Symphony Orchestra, University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra, and the Anchorage Youth Symphony. Passionate about chamber music, she has frequently performed with the award-winning Koinonia Trio, which has been playing together since 2015. She has performed (both violin and viola) as a guest artist at multiple music festivals, and additionally held leadership roles with art organizations, serving as Education Director at the Innsbrook Institute Summer Festival and Academy, Artistic Director and co-founder of the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival, and President of the Anchorage Fine Arts Society (501c3). Christine is currently on faculty as Assistant Violin Professor at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She graduated summa cum laude from University of Michigan with her BM and DMA, and received her MM at the Hochschüle für Musik, Theater und Median in Hannover, Germany. Her principal teachers were Yehonatan Berick, Elisabeth Kufferath, David Halen, Anne Röhrig (Baroque), Arthur Greene (piano), and Yizhak Schotten (viola).
