Joshua Anderson, Clarinet

Joshua Anderson is an active orchestral and chamber musician and has given performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall. Joshua currently holds the position of principal clarinet with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra and has played under the baton of such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Peter Oundjian, and Leon Fleisher. As a chamber musician, Joshua has recently performed as a part of a collaboration with the New York Philharmonic and has appeared on the Evolution New Music Series and the Norfolk Young Artist Series, among others.
Joshua attended the Interlochen Arts Academy where he was a student of Deborah Chodacki. He holds degrees from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and the Yale University School of Music, having studied with Anthony McGill and David Shifrin, respectively. At present, he is a DMA student at the University of Michigan, studying with Brightmusic Co-Artistic Director Chad Burrow.
