Marat Gabdullin, Violin

Marat Gabdullin, a native of Russia, is currently the Associate Concertmaster of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as a member of Lawton Philharmonic and Norman Philharmonic. He holds his Doctoral Degree from University of Oklahoma and Master's Degree from Oklahoma City University.
Dr. Gabullin began studying violin at the age of five. At age seven he was the soloist in a performance of the Vivaldi Violin Concerto in a minor with the Ufa Chamber Orchestra in Russia. After studying at the Specialized Music Schools of Ufa and Kazan, Dr. Gabdullin graduated from the Ufa State Academy of Art. In 2007 he moved to US.
Dr. Gabdullin has won prizes at such competitions as The III All-Russian competition for violinists (Tver, Russia 1994), The M. Fain Republic competition (Ufa, Russia 1999), The IV N. Sabitov Open competition (Ufa, Russia 2000), the All-Russian competition among Music Schools “Young Talents” (Ufa, Russia 2001), the IV International competition “Symphonia” (Volgograd, Russia 2002), the VII International competition “Hopes, Talents & Masters” (Dobrich, Bulgary 2003), the III “Delphic Games” of Russia (Volgograd, Russia 2003), the II “Delphic Games” of countries of CIS (Kishinev, Moldova 2004), and the IV International violin competition “DeMUKS” (Yekaterinburg, Russia 2006. In the US, Marat Gabdullin has won the ESO Mendelssohn Concerto Competition (2009), the OCU Concerto Competition (2009) and the OU Concerto Competition (2010).
